The largest of the Whitsunday Island resorts, Hamilton Island offers over 60 activities, has a number of bars and restaurants, retail outlets and a variety of water sports and tours to experience. Located on the marina side of the island is the marina village precinct, offering everything from a newsagency, IGA supermarket and bottle shop and retail outlets, while the opposite of the island is where you will find all the resorts, accommodation, and Catseye Beach.
Enjoy a day trip to the island during your bareboat or luxury crewed charter by booking a berth in the 301-berth Hamilton Island Marina for a few hours. During your visit you can choose to pack a picnic lunch and go for a bushwalk on one of the 20km of walking trails that weave around the island, take a scenic flight over the surrounding Whitsundays, get active with some go-kart racing or a jet ski tour, cuddle a koala at the wildlife park, or tee off with a round of golf on the island’s very own 18-hole championship course, located on neighbouring Dent Island. Stopover for the night by organising a mooring to enjoy the island after dark, or for an early morning hike to watch the sunrise from Passage Peak.
If a laid-back stopover is more your thing, indulge in a treatment at the island’s day spa or relax by one of the many resort pools or on Catseye Beach. Then, enjoy dining in one of a wide selection of restaurants and cafes available, ranging from pizza and pasta, take-away burgers and fish and chips to a more decadent dining experience feasting on Italian cuisine, local seafood, South-East Asian, or fine dining in the island’s signature restaurant, Bommie, at the Hamilton Island Yacht Club.
