hamilton island
The largest of the Whitsunday Island resorts, Hamilton Island offers over 60 activities, has a number of bars and restaurants, retail outlets and a variety of water sports and tours to experience. Located on the marina side of the island is the marina village precinct, offering everything from a news agency, IGA supermarket and bottle shop and retail outlets, while the opposite of the island is where you will find all the resorts, accommodation, and Catseye Beach.
Enjoy a day trip to the island during your bareboat or luxury crewed charter by booking a berth in the 301-berth Hamilton Island Marina for a few hours. During your visit you can choose to pack a picnic lunch and go for a bushwalk on one of the 20km of walking trails that weave around the island, take a scenic flight over the surrounding Whitsundays, get active with some go-kart racing or a jet ski tour, or tee off with a round of golf on the island’s very own 18-hole championship course, located on neighboring Dent Island.
If a laid-back stopover is more your thing, indulge in a treatment at the island’s day spa or relax by one of the many resort pools or on Catseye Beach. Daydream Island
Daydream Island is the closest resort to the mainland and the smallest in terms of the size of the islands itself. It is a paradise for families and couples with an array of attractions to keep everyone entertained.
Fringing coral reef surrounds the island making for perfectly protected snorkelling conditions. Accommodation is spacious and modern with stunning views overlooking the pool and garden landscapes or with ocean views.
The Living Reef is the main centrepiece of the island which is a unique free form coral lagoon wrapping 200m around the central building and holding over 1.5 million litres of water. The Living Reef is home to over 100 species of marine fish, over 80 species of coral and a variety of invertebrates such as starfish, sea cucumbers and crabs.
Long Island
Long Island is home to a number of resorts, all located within walking distance of each other yet feel worlds apart. Moorings are available to book out the front of each resort and guests are welcome to use the resort facilities at each location.
