GETTING HERE

The Whitsundays is located along Queensland's central coast approximately 1,120km north of Brisbane and 630km south of Cairns. Access to the region is easy whether you are travelling by air, road or by rail.

By Air

The Whitsundays is serviced by two domestic airports: Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) on the mainland and Hamilton Island Airport. Both airports offer a mix of direct and connecting flights from major Australian cities.

From Whitsunday Coast Airport, shuttle transfers are available to Airlie Beach and nearby suburbs, making it a convenient option for mainland access.

If arriving via Hamilton Island Airport, Cruise Whitsundays operates regular ferry transfers to Port of Airlie in Airlie Beach. From there, it’s just a 5-minute drive to Coral Sea Marina, where your charter begins.

By Road

The Bruce Highway runs along the Queensland coast through the town of Proserpine and connects to Airlie Beach, approximately 25 minutes along Shute Harbour Road.

Accommodation in Airlie Beach provide parking facilities whilst staying at the resort or alternatively there is paid parking at Coral Sea Marina starting for $10 per 24 hours. Car pick up and delivery to secure parking is also available starting from $160 for 5 nights.

By Rail

Queensland Rail links Proserpine to all the major destinations between Brisbane and Cairns. Taxis and buses meet every arriving train at the Proserpine train station and provide transfers to Airlie Beach and surrounding suburbs to connect to ferries and island resorts.
